“ You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD is the Rock eternal.” Isaiah 26: 3-4
Jesus walked the road to Jerusalem that took Him to the cross – but the story didn’t end there! His death on the cross was followed by the resurrection and the empty tomb. The whole of the Easter story will never lose its appeal and emotion for me. How can one who knows the depth of love that Father God has for mankind not be moved when the Easter story is read? I want to take a moment and focus on the road we walk with the LORD, our spiritual death and our resurrection, and finally our walking away from the empty tomb.
For many years we could all say we lived in a tomb of unbelief. Yes, even though we are saved our lives can still be filled with unbelief which becomes like a tomb encasing us. Dark, lonely and full of fear. Perhaps some may still feel like they are in that tomb. The good news is, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Those same sins, those same fears, those same doubts are now in His hands and He says to us – It is finished! I have taken away all those things that hinder you and weigh you down. Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be not afraid or dismayed; I will never leave you or forsake you. There is nothing that you can do that would make me love you any less. I have paid the price for your sins, you stand perfect and complete before Me.
It is the devils main goal and job to deceive us and capture us in the web of unbelief. I’m sure this will be a life long battle for many of us. I am convinced though that not for one second can he strip us totally of our belief in Christ Jesus and the power of the cross, but he will do his upmost to try! I want to encourage you today to stand tall and look those lies in the face and say NO MORE, IT IS FINISHED! LORD I BELIEVE, NOW HELP MY UNBELIEF. Remember, faith as small as a mustard seed can move a mountain.
If you recall the story of the crucifixion, at one point Jesus cried: “My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?” I’m not positive, but I will guess that at that moment He was struggling with some doubts, some fears and some unbelief. But He pushed through and chose to trust the Father’s perfect love – He knew the ending to the story! We know the ending too. Our eternity will be spent with the Father in heaven – we just need to trust that God’s Word is true and start using the Word of God as our weapon of defense against the lies of the devil in Jesus Name! Believe His Word Ladies. Speak it out – speak it out loud. Trust God to be true. Let God arise and His enemies be scattered. AMEN! Happy Easter to all my Believing Sisters. I love you with an everlasting love!
